Getting Here

The Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center is located off Route 18, less than two miles from Route 1 and Exit 9 of the New Jersey Turnpike.

The New Brunswick train station, with New Jersey Transit and Amtrak service, is located downtown, and is across from the Suburban Transit station, with commuter bus service to NYC.

Parking

Complimentary parking is provided for event attendees and overnight travelers in LOT 82. The front desk will register guest vehicle information electronically upon check in. You will need your license plate information upon check in. Please be sure to bring that information so you can avoid having to go back out to your car. Rutgers University students and staff must check their issued permit for parking restrictions.

 

By Car

Traveling South on Route 1: After you see the AMC movie theater and pass the exit for route 18, get in the RIGHT lane. Take the FIRST Ryders Lane exit towards New Brunswick. The exit is immediately after Sears, BEFORE the underpass. Go through 1 traffic light. When the road curves 90-degrees to the left, the driveway/entrance to the Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center is on your right.

Traveling North on Route 1: After you see the College Farm Road exit, get in the RIGHT lane. Take the SECOND Ryders Lane exit towards New Brunswick. The exit is immediately AFTER the underpass. Go through 1 traffic light. When the road curves 90-degrees to the left, the driveway/entrance to the Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center is on your right.

From the NJ Turnpike: Take Exit 9; bear right after the toll and merge on to Route 18 North. Take the Exit for Route 1 SOUTH. Stay in the RIGHT lane. Take the FIRST Ryders Lane exit towards New Brunswick. The exit is immediately after the former Sears building, BEFORE the underpass. Go through 1 traffic light. When the road curves 90-degrees to the left, the driveway/entrance to the Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center is on your right.

 

By Train

New Jersey Transit 
New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor Line provides New Brunswick with both local and express service between Penn Station, New York; and Newark and Trenton, New Jersey.

Amtrak
Amtrak provides limited direct service to New Brunswick, however, connections can easily be made via New Jersey Transit trains to principal Amtrak stations at MetroPark, New York, and Trenton.

Getting Around Campus

Guests may use Rutgers’ Campus Bus to travel downtown or to other points on the New Brunswick/Piscataway campuses. The university bus system is complimentary to all riders.

The closest bus stop to the Inn is a short walk away, located at Gibbons Hall on Ryders Lane. Go to the far end of our parking to the right of the Inn’s entrance, then head to the right on the footpath, which will lead down towards Gibbons Circle, the bus stop is in front of Gibbons Hall. 

Take the EE or F route to the College Ave Campus; to get to the Livingston Campus, get off at College Hall (1st stop after Gibbons) and transfer to the REX-L, or to get to the Busch Campus, get off at College Hall (1st stop after Gibbons) and take the REX-B. To get to downtown New Brunswick, take the EE route and get off at the SoCam Apartment stop on George Street. On the weekend and during holidays and summer, Weekend 1, Weekend 2 and the All Campus routes will stop at all campuses.
